Analysis the production situation of Xinjiang silicon metal factories in December

  According to the statistics，So far, with the totally 170 silicon metal furnaces in Xinjiang Province，there are 122 silicon metal furnaces under producing. The operation rate is about 71.76%，it reducing 5.02% compare to last month. Monthly output around 109700MT.
  This month，silicon metal factories in Xinjiang area have been a slight decrease in production，mainly due to the abnormal production of some factories，which have reduced one or three furnaces. Factories have reduced production also because of the impact of carbon emissions. While electricity prices in southern China generally rise to 60 cents during the dry season, electricity prices in Xinjiang area is about 30 cents，which still has a strong cost advantage. However, the raw material problem and inconvenience transportation in winter still a troublesome for manufacturers. At present, there is a large inventory of silicon metal in market. There is no large-scale production reduction plan in Xinjiang area at present. Only a few factories adjusted for maintenances. It is expected that the operating rate of silicon metal factories in Xinjiang area will be maintained about 70% in January.
