As the Chinese New Year is around the corner，the transaction of silicon metal is keeping slowly recently. Most of the traders and factories are stopping working for the holiday. There is just a few transaction in market. Just some traders purchase the stocks before Chinese New Year holiday.

The price of silicon metal is quite stable. The market supply is not as tight as before，even the offer is slightly increasing a little bit. The export market is very quiet in the beginning of February.

Some factories now are stopping producing for machine maintain before the long holiday. It is said that there is no factory producing now in Jiangxi Province. It’s said that some factories are gradually reproduction in the beginning of March in Guangxi Province. The rate of producing will reach 35%.

Now in the end of Lunar New Year，the market is under the most quietest period ever. It is said that when the holiday ends，the price for silicon metal will increase.
