Silicon metal market price remains stable

This week the silicon metal market price remains stable. In China, some of the silicon metal factories said the price of some grade silicon metal fell to the bottom line. It is impossible to reduce the price. Some grade of silicon metal has very tight stock in the market, the price is still in the high level. For the export, some importers is not in a hurry to purchase due to the sufficient inventory. The silicon metal market remains quiet.

Now turning into September, the inquiries are gradually increases in the mid of September. The trade fair becomes actives. However, some importers demand a lower price, some of them just price checking. It is difficult to clinch a deal. The actual order increment of silicon metal export is not obvious.

The purchase amount remains the same, the domestic downstream only purchase according to the demand. The incremental productions are unable to keep up with the consuming inventory. In some region, due to the material limitation, environment and transportation problem, some silicon metal manufacturers plan to halt production.
