The price of metallic silicon raw materials has risen, leading to an increase in costs
Major silicon metal manufacturers have cut production, and terminal purchases are relatively rational. Apart from some essential orders that are traded at high prices, the rest are in a wait-and-see mood. However, major manufacturers also indicate that they are reluctant to sell at low prices. Recently, news of planned production cuts has emerged in the polysilicon market, which is undoubtedly a negative factor for industrial silicon. However, at present, the increase in production at the western plants of major factories is mainly ferrosilicon. Apart from the resumption of work after the maintenance of other major factories, there is no significant increase in industrial silicon in the market.
