The price of silicon metal keep on increasing

Lately the price of silicon metal is increasing continually. It is increasing over three hundred us dollars after Chinese New Year. The reasons as followed：

Firstly，the downstream industries have new project which need more supply makes the extra consumption.

Secondly, the cost of the raw material increasing. Such as silica，coal and oil coke. The cost of the raw material increasing over one hundred us dollars.

Thirdly，the new output is less than usual. In March，the rate of the operation of the main producing area Sichuan and Yunnan is still in low level. Now the rate of operation is not over 35%. Meanwhile，the Xinjiang area still under environmental protection，some of the factories still deduct the output. Overall，the new output of silicon metal is less，the rate of the operation of downstream industries over 90%，the consumption is in high level.

  At the moment，with the enough market supply，the price for silicon metal still increasing. How the price goes in the future couldn’t be decided by the demand and supply merely.
